While visiting friends we were told this was a must ! What an amazing experience! The young lady that served us behind the bar Audra could not have been more attentive and described the menu extensively. We were also able to meet the manager Hana as well and she made sure all our needs were met . Great job guys !
I stumbled upon this place the last time I was in Scottsdale. I was on the company dime, and needed a nice place with a happy hour menu. If you get here between 4 and 6PM, you have a nice assortment of voices for a rather decent meal. I like a cocktail once a week, and they provide a nice selection of "mini" cocktails for their 'Social Hour' The chord salad is amazing! I am gluten intolerant, so they are very accommodating in customizing it for me. Today I returned, and decided to order small plates. It was great to find a gluten free calamari! Nicely done, but could have used a tad more of the gochuchang (i font think I spelled that correctly). The Brussels sprouts! They were amazing! The polenta they were server with was something I could eat with ANYTHING! Nice wine list, and the craft cocktails are innovative and well priced.
The best experience, food and service I've had in a long time. Sad but true. Every plate was greatly put together and flavors all complimented each other. I would have had dessert but there was no way I could fit any more food in my belly and there was no way I was packing it to go. It was too good for the next day microwave. Absolutely not.
We recently reserved the upstairs at Citizen Public House for a private event, and it was perfect for our group of 20. The space was lovely - comfortable, inviting, and just the right size for our group to gather and enjoy the evening together. The service and food were truly excellent, and everyone in our group was raving about both. We had a special menu due to our group size, and we were pleasantly surprised by how many great options there were - even for our pickiest guests. Every dish was well-prepared and delicious. From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Citizen Public House for a private event or group dinner. We’ll definitely be back!
We were enjoying our Sunday between going to the Museum of Contemporary Art a few blocks away and the Bavarian festival. We stopped at Citizen public house for some snacks and drinks with our baby. We found the staff to be very accommodating and it was kid friendly. We mostly ordered happy hour snacks and drinks to check out the restaurant and it beyond exceeded our expectations. We cannot wait to go back and try more menu items. The place has a luxurious, relaxing vibe. Everyone was friendly. We highly recommend.
This is a very fancy restaurant so I would definitely dress nice for the occasion!! I ordered the Short Ribs which was amazing, but the barbecue sauce was too pungent. They have a huge variety of drinks to choose from! The menu is small and a little pricey. I definitely recommend coming to this restaurant in AZ!
Second visit and food was amazing just like my first experience! Their chopped salad was my personal favorite and their menu seems to have been updated since my last visit so I tried a few more new dishes like short ribs, zaatar cauliflower, and beef stroganoff. As for the atmosphere, it was a bit dark for photos and noise level was pretty high during the evening. Would come back for the chopped salad and pasta menus!
I cannot express how truly WONDERFUL and above and beyond our experience was. My mother was graduating with her masters and me and my siblings were flying in to surprise her. We reserved a table at CPH and called to see if they would help us with the surprise and they seemed really happy to do so. When we arrived they were expecting us, had reserved a special room for us, they filmed the surprise for us, and just made the whole experience a memory we will never forget. My mom said it was the biggest surprise of her life, and it couldn’t have happened without Tanner and the staff that night. Aside from the service, the food was also amazing! At our table we ordered several different things and everything was unique, well thought out, had complexity in flavor, and was the cherry on top for our experience.
This was our first time dining at this restaurant from Maricopa and it did not disappoint! The Citizen cocktail was amazing! My husband had the beef stroganoff and said it was delicious with a southwest flare (and he doesn’t even like southwest flare). I had the salmon and it was some of the best salmon I’ve ever had (and lived in the pacific NW) with some good seafood. I loved how the menu was labeled for gluten free (gf) which I am. Also splurged on the flourless, chocolate almond torte. Definitely would go back for a special occasion type celebration, and atmosphere.
